Can you take a bike on these European trains?
A compact comparison of the rules most likely to disrupt a Netherlands-to-neighbouring-country trip. Rules can differ by service and journey, so use the linked operator page before booking.
Quick answer: a small folded bike is simplest on NS, DB and ÖBB. A full-size bike usually needs a bicycle ticket, a space and—in long-distance services—a reservation. Eurostar’s continental route requires dismantling and a cover.
